Information

On the small island of Helgøy in Årdalsfjorden, the Helgøy family lives. The roadless island is known for being fertile for apples, pears, plums, cherries - and children!

There are approximately 35,000 fruit trees planted on the two fruit farms, and the main season runs from the blooming in May until the last apples are harvested at the end of October. Then, there is full activity on the island, and the experiences are many and varied for both sight, smell, and especially taste!

From the summer of 2020, we welcome small and larger groups to experiences at Helgøybakkane Fruit Farm. We can tailor activities according to your wishes, ranging from family days with simple activities to company trips and celebrations.

One example: The trip can start with a boat ride through the Ryfylke islands before landing on Helgøy. Here, you will be taken on a stroll through the fruit orchards and up to the top of the island. Of course, there will be tastings of juice and fruit! At the end of the largest fruit orchard, you will find the party venue Epleriet, where you can sit down and enjoy the atmosphere and the view of the fruit orchard and Fisterfjorden. We serve coffee with something extra or other food by agreement.
