Kalvagaren

The Kalvagaren at Fosstemmen is a popular hiking destination on Jøsneset.

Fosstemmen is a manually built stone dam from the 1940s, which formed one of three reservoirs for the Jøsneset Power Plant, which supplied electricity to the village from 1949 to 1966.

The shelter is open to all hikers. There is a fire pit, tables and benches, firewood, and two canoes that can be used on the water. The benches in the shelter are sturdy, and it is possible to stay overnight here with a good sleeping bag and sleeping pad.
